Lublin TP Accounting Centre the best in Europe
Lublin Accounting Centre started its full scope activity in October 2006. Lublin complied with the criteria and was chosen out of eight cities from the final list. Economic factors such as accessibility of premises, labour costs and costs of running a business as well as number of universities and easy access to qualified staff determined the final choice of Lublin. What is more, another significant factor was good cooperation with the local authorities, which perceived creating such an organization as a development opportunity for the city.
Currently Lublin Accounting Center provides financial and accounting services for Polish Telecommunicaton (TP). Polish Telecommunication Group aimed at creating the accounting center in order to provide the highest quality services and improve the effectiveness of the financial and accounting processes. This undertaking was more than just consolidating or centralizing functions within the company. Creating the accountig centre was also an indispensable element of New Convergence project, which was supposed to implement class ERP system and ensure keeping account books according to International Accounting Standards as well as meet the SOX requirements.
Lublin Accounting Centre offers both organization, process and system potential needed for extending its activity on other companies, also the ones located abroad. Thus the accounting centre works in accordance with the worldwide trend, following the example of such powerful corporations like Volvo, Hewlett Packard, Philips, Citibank, Thomson, Electrolux and IBM which decided to locate their centres in Poland.
On 12 May 2009 in Budapest Lublin Accounting Centre was awarded “Best New Captive Shared Services Organization – Winner 2009” in the annual contest Shared Services Excellence Awards (a prestigous award for the best Shared Service in Europe) which confirmed its organization effectiveness and high standard of provided services.
