Christmas Festival is being held in Lublin from December 6 - January 9. The official meeting with residents of Lublin traditionally took place on December 6 in front of the City Hall. The meeting was accompanied by a concert of carols and pastorals performed by Fedor Family.
The idea of the event is to create the festive and magical spirit of Christmas in the very heart of Lublin. Every year, the nativity scene is re-arranged, and the city is decorated with colourful Christmas illumination and Christmas trees. These December days offer a great atmosphere in the unworldly setting of Lublin’s Old Town. The Festival 2023 also includes: Christmas concerts, decoration workshops and guided tours around Lublin. The youngest residents of Lublin can take part in a Christmas art competition dedicated to Lublin nursery schools. The main theme is "Santa Claus through the eyes of children" with drumming workshops as the main prize.
Moreover, this year, a Christmas carousel will appear on Litewski Square. The rotating installation has a diameter of 6 meters and is equipped with a sound system enabling to hear Christmas music.
The Christmas Festival will last until January 9, 2023. The detailed programme can be found at swieta.lublin.eu.
