On October 11, the City of Lublin invited the inhabitants of Lublin to co-create the European Youth Capital 2023 time capsule. You could participate in this project through contribution of short video recordings or symbolic components related to Lublin, European Youth Capital 2023. The recordings were held at Litewski Square.

In this exceptional year, Lublin is governed by young people. We listen and learn from them what kind of world they want to live in, what values are essential to them and what assistance they expect from us. I believe that the developed solutions and projects will give the contentment and joy to young people. We wish to preserve everything we managed to create as part of European Youth Capital for generations to come. In this time capsule we will keep memories and the image of Lublin from 2023 - says Krzysztof Żuk, Mayor of Lublin.

The time capsule contains symbolic and momentous objects that commemorate our city - wishes, greetings and messages for the next generations of Lublin. All recordings were saved and placed in the capsule.

Even to this day, you can bring items associated with Lublin as European Youth Capital to Hej! at Peowiaków 11 street. The prepared time capsule will be opened in 2123, at the earliest. It will be buried in the second half of October in Park Ludowy during the Opening Ceremony of the Avenue of the European Youth Capital Lublin 2023.
