A very special edition
11.10.201009:30

Loyal audience will have an opportunity to meet their old friends. Teatr Ósmego Dnia, a theatre group popular in Lublin, will bring the performance “Paranoids and Beekeepers” („Paranoicy i Pszczelarze”), and the Pig Iron Theatre Company from Philadelphia will present a radical interpretation of Russian classic works in their „Chekhov Lizardbrain.” One of the central events of this year's edition will be „(A)pollonia,” presented at the very beginning of the festival. It is a monumental staging by Krzysztof Warlikowski, one of the most important productions of recent seasons in Poland.
A new feature of the festival is a special presentation of Lublin theatre scene. During the two days of the festival (October 18-19), the spectators will have a chance to see almost all theatre artists associated with Lublin, to start with the progenitors of the Lublin avant-garde and co-founders of the Confrontations Festival – Leszek Mądzik and Janusz Opryński, representatives of the intermediate generation – Witold Mazurkiewicz, Łukasz Witt-Michałowski, Paweł Passini and Ryszard Kalinowski, and to end with members of the young generation – Tomasz Bazan and Justyna Jasłowska.
