The Christmas Meeting will be held in the Palace of Arts and will be attended by Mr Wiesław Mazur, Consul General of Poland in Lviv, and the Bishop of Lviv Marian Buczek. Among the attendants, there will also be representatives of organisations and unions of Poles living in the Lviv Region, Polish inhabitants of the region, citizens of Lublin and other participants of the visit. Continuing the tradition of Lublin-Lviv Christmas Meetings, a visit to an orphanage in Horny Lychakiv district is going to be a part of the programme. Every child will receive a gift from the visitors. Additionally, the children are going to present their Christmas artistic performances. A special initiative called “Kalendarz dla Kresowiaka” (A Calendar for a Kresowiak) has been carried out by the Chancellery of the Mayor. Owing to the generosity of Lublin citizens, every inhabitant of the Kresy region will receive a calendar for the year 2016.
The Lublin-Lviv Christmas Meetings are organised under the patronage of the Mayor of the City of Lublin, Mr Krzysztof Żuk.
The partnership agreement between Lublin and Lviv was signed during the Lublin-Lviv Christmas Meeting held 12 years ago.
