Seniors Returned Keys to the City

The culmination of this year’s edition was the celebration of the Day of Intergenerational Solidarity in which representatives of all generations took an active part: kindergarten pupils, schoolchildren, students and seniors. After a ceremonial mass in Lublin Cathedral, participants marched in a colourful parade to the City Hall where seniors returned symbolic keys to the city to
Mrs Monika Lipińska, Deputy Mayor of the City of Lublin. Next, the parade moved to Plac Litewski where participants created a Generation Bridge.
More than 300 events dedicated to the oldest Lublin citizens took place during Lublin Senior Days. Around 100 institutions were involved in the event organisation: kindergartens, schools, nursing homes, community self-help centres, regional and city cultural institutions, healthcare centres, non-governmental organisations and sport clubs.
Thank you for participation and let us invite you to the following editions of Lublin Senior Days.
