The Muzyka Kresów Foundation invites you to take part in the International Summer School of Traditional Music, where practical and theoretical classes are devoted to various aspects of traditional singing, including vocal emission, singing techniques, performing styles and manners. In addition, the participants will learn new songs and participate in lectures, film screenings as well as instrument-playing and dance workshops. The Summer School offers two weeks of intensive training led by renowned musicologists and practitioners from Poland, Ukraine, Serbia and Lithuania.
The schedule includes approx. 5 hours of vocal training a day as well as evening dances. The theme of the 2015 Summer School’s symposium is ”Fertility motifs in traditional songs.”
