The Polish Film Institute announces a call for proposals for Polish Film Institute Awards in the following categories:
1) best cinema,
2) best film event in Poland,
3) best international promotion of Polish cinema,
4) best distribution of a Polish film,
5) best distribution of a non-commercial foreign film in Poland,
6) best film criticism,
7) best film radio show,
8) best online website or blog about films,
9) best book about films,
10) best education programme for young audiences,
11) best Film Discussion Club
12) best digital reconstruction of Polish,
13) best film poster,
14) best professional education programme.
In 2015 the Polish Film Institute will present awards to those who arouse interest in Polish cinema and film studies, educate young audiences, publish books about cinema, organize film festival and reviews, and promote films in Poland and abroad. You can nominate individuals and institutions for their outstanding merits in promoting the film art in 2014.
Nominations can be submitted by cultural institutions, film schools, local authorities, foundations and film associations. The winning entries will be selected by the Award Committee.
The winners will be announced in September 2015 at the 40th Polish Film Festival in Gdynia. The winners will be given an award statue designed by Piotr Michnikowski and a monetary prize of 15,000 PLN.
The deadline for nominations is 31 March 2015. Applications must be submitted online uisng the online application form at: wnioski.pisf.pl/Eform/EformList.
