Workshop on Armenian Calligraphy

The Workshops of Culture announce a workshop on Armenian calligraphy led by master Ruben Malayan. The workshop is for both professional calligraphers and amateurs. 

The Armenian alphabet consists of 36 letters and can written according to different styles. The four-hour workshop will begin with a short introduction to the history of the Armenian alphabet. Afterwards the participants will learn the basics of the Armenian writing and find out about the differences between classical and contemporary calligraphy. The workshop will be led in English.
