Packed with situational humour, the play takes on a typical love triangle and the fight for happiness. The playwright herself described it as “a tragedy of stupid people”. Despite the time which passed since its premiere one hundred years ago, the play has not gone out-of-date and does a great job tackling the issue of the condition of a modern family.
