Iwona Bolińska-Walendzik’s batik
Iwona Bolińska-Walendzik born in Morag In 1970. Graduated from Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń in 1996.
Her fascination with batik started in 1999. At the same time she is involved in teaching. She also works with stained glass and graphic design. She actively participates in artistic life of Olsztyn, Warmia and the Coast. She exhibited her works on local exhibitions (Biennale Plastyki Olsztyńskiej in 2001, 2007 and 2009 , "Olsztyńskie klimaty" in 650th anniversary of the foundation of the city), exhibitions promoting the region (series of exhibitions titled “We love Warmia” in Offenburg, Gelsenkirchen, Perugia) and also on all-Polish and international exhibitions.
Her interest in batik art and technique resulted in many individual and group exhibitions, such as “Painted with wax. Polish and Javanese batik” in National Museum of Ethnography in Warsaw in 2006. She took part in over forty group exhibitions.
