A young Frenchman Stephane comes to Romania in order to find a Roma singer Nora Luca, whose music his father listened to at the end of his life. The Romanian countryside is a bit of a shock to Stephane, but he himself is also perceived as strange by the locals (the title means "Crazy Gadjo " in Romany). His attention is drawn by the young Roma girl Sabina, whose vivacity and openness bordering on vulgarity give a new meaning to his journey. The film is made in the convention of light comedy, but towards the end the climate changes drastically, when the local Romanians destroy the Roma village and the world Stephane has discovered.
