D.O.A. is an acronym for “dead on arrival”, a mortally wounded or already deceased human being at the time of the arrival of medical help. Practically, Frank Bigelow, the film’s protagonist, is dead as he has been informed one drunken night in San Francisco that he has just been poisoned by an unknown perpetrator. With only a few days of life left during which to reveal the identity of his killer, Frank is determined to get the hang of it. Will he manage? Will he make it?
