Would you like to feel like in a time machine? You can in October!
Models of military vehicles from all over Poland, airplane replicas, demonstrations of weapons and military equipment, aircraft souvenirs and exhibits, model building, collectors fair – all this will be available in one place on the last weekend of October. On October 26-28, 2018 the Lublin Fair will host the third edition of an unusual return to the past, a historical exhibition of 20th Century Militaria.
The exhibition will be an opportunity to meet other history enthusiasts and talk about discoveries, journeys and books. The honorary guests of the event include: Adam Sikorski, a tireless history enthusiast, author of the program " Było, nie minęło - Kronika Zwiadowców Historii;" writer and traveller Mariusz Borowiak, who will talk about the search for the escort destroyer ORP "Kujawiak" and taking out the bell from the wreck. The programme of the event also includes the screening of a unique documentary shot underwater at a depth of 100 m and an exhibition of 3D large-format photographs of Polish escort ships: ORP Ślązak, Krakowiak and Kujawiak.
For young enthusiasts of history, the organizers have prepared an educational route consisting of the displays of museum exhibits, historical re-enactments, military vehicle presentations, virtual flights on a plane, drives in historic vehicles of the Polish Armed Forces in the West and a "Shooting Range of Freedom" where you can fire a shot to celebrate the restoration of Poland’s Independence.
