"Młynarski / Cabaret" is a result of four years of work by the participants of Theatrical Meetings for Seniors. During this period, we got to know different forms of stage presence, creating three stage programmes: "Exercises in Tuwim", "Memory" (largely based on the participants’ own memories and texts) and "The Morality of Mrs. Dulska."
This year's show was born out of our shared inspiration by Wojciech Młynarski’s work, our desire to return to his well-known texts and tackle the previously unknown ones that fascinated us with their timelessness. From the huge amount of Młynarski’s texts, the participants could choose something for themselves, and since we are a team – we looked for songs we could perform together. In the end, the programme consists of twenty four poems and five songs in the following order:
1. „Taka ballada”
2. „Alkoholicy z mojej dzielnicy”
3. „Tylko wróć”
4. „Ballada o malinach”
5. „A w smaku?”
6. „Ballada o bezrybiu”
7. „Pajacyk”
8. „Bidusia”
9. „Dziewczyna z mlekiem”
10. „Jak ci amanci”
11. „O, poezjo damskich torebek”
12. „Ballada szpitalna”
13. „Ballada o szachiście”
14. „Ile ja dopłacam?”
15. „Ballada o przyszłości chirurgii”
16. „Ballada o szewcu Dratewce”
17. „Ballada o przeszkoleniu kamerzystów”
18. „Ballada o strachu na wróble”
19. „Do czyjej?”
20. „Ballada o szczurach”
21. „Przetrwamy”
22. „Tak, jak malował Pan Chagall”
23. „Strasznie lubię cię piosenko”
24. „Dwanaście godzin z życia kobiety”
25. „Pogadaj ze mną”
26. „W miłości słowa nic nie znaczą”
27. „Jeszcze w zielone gramy”
28. „Lubmy się trochę”
29. „Ogórki małosolne”
The show has the form of a cabaret, which seems obvious, considering the author's work. We use satire, grotesque, sketches, anecdotes as well as individual performances. We make a modest use of musical accompaniment, costumes and props.
