Director Tadeusz Bradecki continues playing with Shakespeare on the stage of the Osterwa Theatre in Lublin. This time he has chosen for his audience a Shakespeare play that has never been staged in Lublin before – “Much Ado About Nothing.” Alongside "As You Like It," "All's Well That Ends Well," "Love's Labour's Lost, this play is one of Shakespearean comedies of forgiveness," says the producer.

The finale forgiveness in these plays tends to be unbelievably sophisticated and comic. We laugh, that’s true, but the ambiguity of the final awards of merit and penalties for the dark offenses makes us reflect upon one serious problem: what is this good and evil in the world around us really all about?

Everything went beautiful and there was supposed to be a wedding. Suddenly, instead of saying" I do" at the altar, he exclaims: "I don’t because she is a whore!" He became an unconscious victim of an extremely treacherous slander, a truly complex intrigue. The Shakespeare story of a complex innuendo in "Much Ado About Nothing" hides a question important for our time about good which we used to call truth. In “Much ado about nothing" the truth is defended by so-called simple people. The author also hides there a subtle analysis of true love ... and leaves unresolved the question of the title "nothing" there is much ado about ...

The play is set in Messina, in Sicily, but Tadeusz Bradecki offers us a considerable leap in time. An thus there is the Sicilian mafia, women in black and the landscape smelling of oranges and wine from the Italian cinematic neorealism ...
