Andersen's fairy tales are captivating, they contain a profound humanistic meaning and convey a universal, timeless value: through the enchanted world of colorful flowers, animals, insects, fairies, good and evil spirits, they show human characters and problems. We all know the tales about the Ugly Duckling, the Princess and the Pea, the Snow Queen, and many other wonderful fairy tales by this wonderful fairy-tale writer.
Enjoy the wonderful journey and breath-taking adventures of a tiny girl and her friends in a magical world of nature. In mysterious circumstances, there shows up a tiny Thumbelina, who becomes the joy of an elderly lady. A beautiful water lily flower is her cradle, blue petals of violets are her mattress, and a rose petal is her quilt. Thumbelina’s dream is to see the land of elves, but during her journey she gets kidnapped by a family of music-playing frogs, "Croak Trio," and then ends up in the "Earwig Revue." During her journey she encounters a mouse, a mole and many other interesting characters. What fate awaits the beautiful girl, who will like her? You’ll discover this soon in the theatre! Filled with music and songs, the show is a great fun for families, proving that you do not have to be big to make great deeds and become someone special.
The leading roles are played by children chosen in a casting. The show also features soloists, choir, ballet and orchestra of the Musical Theatre in Lublin.
